History of Swamiji
आनन्दतीर्थमौनीन्द्रं सदानन्दपयोनिधिम् ।
प्रवन्दे दीनमन्दारं सदान्दाप्तये सदा ॥
- Shreemad Ananda Teerth Swamiji achieved financial stability for the matha while maintaining detachment from material pleasures.
- Renovated the Partagali Matha, including the punahpratishtha of Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana in 1810 CE.
- Constructed a tower of Maruti in 1821 CE and aided in the construction of the Parashuram temple at Poinguinim.
- Issued a travelling permit by the Gaekwads, accompanied by a large entourage.
- Went on numerous pilgrimages, including visits to Rameshwaram, Anantashayana, Totadri, Kumbhakonam, Shrirangam, Vishnukanchi, and Badarinath.
- Honored by King Rajarupa Simha and Prince Alarka Simha in Kashi.
- Spent three chaturmasas during his pilgrimages, indicating their difficulty.
- Issued an order to send 50 rupees annually for the matha’s upkeep and worship.
- Documented visit of Soundekar king Basavalinga Maharaj and his son to Partagali Matha.
- Wrote a letter emphasizing the importance of studies to his shishya, Shreemad Poornaprajna Teerth.
- Worked to change the ritualistic practices of the Saraswatas in Goa, issuing an order for vaidika karmas to be done by Saraswata purohitas.
- Entered samadhi at Partagali Matha on Shravan Shuddha Navami of Saka 1750 Sarvadhari Samvatsara.
