• The first document in the name of Shree Swamiji is dated Srisaka 1629, and the latest is from 1672.
• Shree Swamiji ruled for a long time.
• Swamiji is from the Acharya family of Sheli village in Lolaye, Goa.
• Many Vatus from Canacona have become Peethadhipatis of the Math.
• Swamiji stayed in both Ankola and Partagali.
• Swamiji attained Haripada in Ankola Sri Veera Vittala Math on Srisaka 1672, Pramoda Samvatsara Margashirsha Shukla Pratipada.

This stotra of Guruparampara is very intuitive.

स्वान्तदोष-प्रशांत्यर्थं means to destroy the evil within us. As the prefix प्र is added here, these evils (sins) will be destroyed completely. Only then does that destruction of sins makes sense. And henceforth we must not commit those sinful deeds.

So what should we do to achieve this?

The stotra advises us to take shelter under the divine feet of Shreemad Ramakanta teerth guru.

Shree Swamiji was always calm and serene in nature and was शांत–स्वांत or स्वांत–शांत It means Swamiji was engrossed with शांत who was within Him. It is not easy to translate Sanskrit words. शांत simply does not mean tranquility  or peace of English.

शं means bliss, and शांत  the pinnacle or the peak of the mountain of bliss. That is infinite bliss.

Can anybody other than Narayana have this infinite bliss?

So शांत is Rama. शांत is Vitthala. And Shree Ramakanta Theerth Swamiji’s blessings showers the grace from Sri Rama and Sri Vittala.

Can there be any doubt about sins of the devotees getting burnt?
